Whenever you are submitting to article directories there are some things that you will want to keep in mind:
- While you may want to use HTML, if you use it where it is not allowed and the submissions are not checked or edited, then your article could be sent out in plain text format. This means that all of your HTML tags would be showing, which you want to avoid.
- You also need to make sure that you know about any minimum and maximum word count limitations that are in the body text and the resource box. Once you know what the limitations are, make sure that you stick to them or else your text will be cut off at the maximum count.
- It is important to note that not all directories offer resource boxes. Instead you may be allowed links to your web site included at the end of your article. If you are not careful here, then your automatic submission software could cause you not to have any link at all pointing back to your web site since you have not included your bio box.
- Before you begin submitting to an article directory make sure that you know its rules because each one will have its own rules and guidelines. So, take your time to understand the rules for each of the directories that you submit to. It is very possible that you may not be able to submit the same article to hundreds of different directories because of all of the different rules.
